Aqua Physical Classes: Aquatic Strength and Cardio Training
When you are in the water, your body is given better support, and the exercise that you complete is impact-free. With much less stress on your skeletal system and joints, many people find exercising in the water much safer compared with land exercise. Our aquatic exercise classes provide the environment you need to complete an impact-free training.
What Are Some Aquatic Exercise Programs We Offer?
At APT, our pool exercise classes are varied and challenging so that you get the most from your time with us. We offer both Cycle Mix classes and Strength and Cardio programs, along with others. Both of these programs use drag resistance equipment, but aquatic cycle bikes are only used in the cycle classes.
It is our use of specialized equipment that sets us apart from other aqua aerobics classes. Where many aqua exercise classes will only use pool noodles or foam dumbbells, which have little effect on your body, our aquatic bikes, underwater treadmills, and other unique strength training equipment makes sure that your workout has an impact.
Thanks to being in the water, you can benefit from higher intensity training because the aquatic environment makes it safer to do so. There is less strain on your joints and your skeletal system, and this means that you are a lot less likely to suffer from injuries.
After intense exercise, you may have experienced muscle soreness the following days, but this is not such an issue with APT programs.
With the pressure of the water moving the lactic acid around your body more efficiently than on land and less muscle trauma, aquatic exercise can bring you greater benefits than land training and with less pain. So, you can go ahead and book into one of our aqua exercise classes knowing that it is doing you good but without facing the painful consequences.
Aqua Aerobics Classes: Options to Suit You
All our instructors are qualified and know how to train clients in an aquatic setting, so you can be confident that your health and fitness is in the best hands as they take you through your water exercise training.
We offer group training programs for our aquatic workout classes, where there can be up to 25 people in your class. One of our nationally accredited instructors will take you through an organized and challenging program where you will have a great workout.
Alternatively, you can choose to have individual training sessions with an exercise physiologist. Personal training is a great option for those that are looking to lose weight or those who have suffered from an injury or undergone surgery. They can also be arranged for a time to suit you, and this makes it a good option if you cannot regularly make it to one of our group program sessions.
During your personal training sessions, you will be able to use our aquatic treadmills. Unlike using a treadmill on land, there is not the same impact on your hips, knees, and ankles, yet you can still get fantastic results from using it underwater.
We plan personal training sessions around your needs so that you can see dramatic results and be confident that your program is suitable for your current state of health and what you want to get from your training. Specific programs and classes including water aerobics for weight loss.
We also hold water aerobics classes for seniors if that is something you are looking for.
